Outdoor Adventures for All!

From road trips to thru-hiking, there’s something to do in the outdoors for everyone, no matter your experience level or preferences! I love being a dirtbag and backpacking for thousands of miles as much as I love snuggling up with my dogs in a real bed in a camper van. And I love quiet nature walks as much as standing on top of a multi-thousand foot peak. Whatever you’re looking for in the outdoors, I’m here to help you find it and get out there!

Backpacking

I fell in love with backpacking in my early adulthood. To me, backpacking is one of the most special ways to spend time outside. There’s something about being in the backcountry, away from the hustle and bustle, that makes me feel so happy and at peace, even if the trail is a lung-buster! You’ll find how-to guides, trail guides, and more in my backpacking blog posts.

Thru-Hiking

Thru-hiking is backpacking! The only difference is the kind of trail. It’s usually a point-to-point or loop trail that you don’t repeat any sections of, and is usually longer and includes some kind of re-supply of food and supplies. I thru-hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, a 2,650 mile trail from Mexico to Canada, in 2018 as my first thru-hike, and went on to hike the Wonderland Trail, John Muir Trail, and Colorado Trail. Read my thru-hiking guides for more insight on what it’s like to thru-hike, how to plan properly, and what to pack for success!

Road Trips

One of my favorite ways to explore is by road-tripping. There is so much freedom and flexibility in being able to drive your car and be able to go almost everywhere! I’ve road tripped in RVs, camper vans, and my trusty Subaru, and I love all of them for different reasons. Read my best guides and tips for your next road trip adventure!

Day Hiking

Day hikes are one of the best ways to connect with nature, whether you embark on a full-day adventure or a short jaunt.
